I thought I'd do a little quiz. Whomever gets this question right gets a CP from me.

I will be gone for a bit. But when I return if someone has the correct answer I will give them CP.

Now if there are like 2-3 with the same answer I might be so kind as to give it to all of them. If I'm not here .. go on and do your question and continue the game!

    Here it is:

Who Coined the term, West Coast Offense ?
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

Former Rams and Chargers head coach Sid Gillman.

Designer? Yes. First one to "coin" the term? Unsure.

Oh... While I'm at it (ignoring the work on my desk ) I guess I'll continue the game...

What was the nickname of the intended receiver of the pass play that's best known as the "Immaculate Reception"?

Where Did the 46 Defense get its name?

Safety Doug Plank wore #46, and since he was "the man" in the scheme the name was born.

The 46 defense was created by Buddy Ryan, used with various teams (most noteably Chicago). There were six lineman at the line of scrimage and then 4 linebackers two yards back.

Search..... Search...... Then there was Google!

Before my time, as well, Ballard. Aside from slowly but surely becoming more of a fan of the game (and its history) I also have a couple of great resources in my office: a former college (and wannabe NFL) QB that's a huge fan of the So. Cal teams of old (he's made sure that I know that Sid Gillman created the WCO), and my most prized resource... Gale Sayers' blocking back when he played at Kansas. A great guy; I never tire of his stories.

Oh, and Google is nice, too.
