Dunno where I'd get the Mentos though, don't think I've ever seen them in shops round here. I wonder if there's anything I could use as a substitute?
Wouldn't it be a riot if you had a whole class of kids doing that in the science lab!

I'm just amazed at how little soda is left in the bottle after the reaction and how high the soda shoots up. I might have to try it with a lager and see what happens. If it doesn't then no big deal; I'll have a minty brew to enjoy. If it does work then I'll be out 1 tasty beverage, but have something exciting to talk about.Originally posted by Jaws

Jaws a packet of Polos works quite well. They arnt the same as Mentos but the sugar in the whole pack alone gives it a real boost. Anyone ever notice how a coke goes cold when you put a mint in it?
