    I didn't say Windows media player, I said A media player.

    Some older media players can access the hardware without windows permission.

    Is there another program that is changing the settings back perhaps?

    Like a media player or video game?

    Are you going under the soundcards controls or using something else?

    Are you pressing "Apply" or "OK" after you make the changes?

    ok, i juss added 2 new speakers to my stereo n it is THUMPIN andi went into my sound setting to up the Treble n Bass to make it kick more, but they keep changing back on there own. Can someone tell me how to save these settings?
