Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

In a way, I get kind of tired of this line of thinking.
Things don't go well for people simply because they are an American. Americans have had to work hard to achieve the things we have achieved. Every great thing we have achieved, we have shared with the rest of the world. At least those who are willing to accept that which we offer the rest of the world.
We are a lucky people because we created our own luck.
Don't you think this could be interpreted as you, individually, are lucky to have been born in a country (assuming you were) where you were given the opportunities Painter talks about and not in a place like Ethiopia or somewhere where you are fighting just to keep from starving to death?
How damned Lucky are you? You spoiled, pampered, American son of a gun
I WANT TO KNOW!

To be honest I thank God almost everyday for all He has blessed me with.
I have a wonderful, loving, healthy family.
I have an amazing girlfriend that is just as much in love with me as I am with her
I have an awesome job
I have a comfortable home to go to every night
I am a good looking, healthy, responsible, loyal person (modestly said)
And I am a fan of the best damn NFL team out there!
What more could I ask for? Sure there are many more material things I'd like to have in my life, but I'm fully satisfied with what I have.
I make sure that as often as I ask the Lord for things, I thank Him for all He has given me.
I certainly know how lucky I am Painter (for health, my country, my son, my family, 9-2 - lol, etc.) but how often I remind myself of that is another matter. Thanks for reminding us all to remind ourselves.
