Well, I’m in a holding pattern at the new job for now. Drug screen came back negative but diluted. Had take another test. Hopefully it isn’t too long before I get into a truck and making money.

I played a wee bit of guitar many years ago. Just didn't practice much. No pain no gain. But I have always loved the electric guitar. The shape and colour adds so much to the appeal, not to mention the incredible sounds. Friday there's a sale at one of our music shops and I think I'm buying one. Smallish amp, given I can't get blow the condo out. It's almost but not quite time to abandon my rock star hopes. I am not shooting too high, maybe a combo of Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton.

I still watch some or all of The Grammys. Last night's show was really good, except it was too long....hey, that's typical award show stuff. And the fact they have way too many categories, including confusing ones at that. Best song, best record, etc.

I really like when they perform. The Motown segment with Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and others was a hit. Motown had a huge impact on the music industry, and was loved by plenty of pop/rock artists. And though I am not a rap music type, I thought the end was quite good, outside in the dark. It was special, and again, I'm not a rap music person.

I watch SNL most of the time, and though it's not for everyone, I tell my wife that they still have the influence to bring on most of the very best/current music, in many genres. They are still very fluid when it comes to showcasing what's in.

The extreme cold weather has ended!! Anything feels like a heat wave after the last week or two. I know it's cold when the dog makes a sudden u turn back to the warmth of the building.

These days, once we hit February I start thinking winter is nearly over. Climate change has had some aspects of positive impact in these parts.....so far.

I don't care where a person is from, a wind chill near or below -40 (F or C), is only survivable if you have the proper gear.

Have read lots of drivers avoid CA.
Many try anyway. Not easy to do if you're staying in the western region.

    Thanks.
