Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

Life's been ever so quiet for me
I don't know how long it is since you last posted but my most happy moments from the past five years were becoming a Grandmother of two lovely girls
Surgery and significant hearing loss and falling downstairs and fracturing my back during the past couple of months I wouldn't count amongst life's highlights

It’s been a few years since I’ve visited these boards lol... lots of new faces. I was just reminiscing over some of our old threads and the chats we had with with some of the posters no longer here.. good times.
I’ve been divorced and remarried, took up running and lost a bunch of weight, still watching the Broncos lose, that never seems to change lol.

A very expensive aged whisky seeing as LT is paying and maybe a huge tiered cake with multi flavoured layers, or a cake with Broncos cheerleaders hidden inside?

On another note... Peanut made sure we're okay out here with all of the fires. I'm about an hour from the lost City of Paradise, but okay. We get bad smoke days that push the air quality to levels that are the worst on the planet right now. The morning starts out okay, but then it starts to drop from the sky and we get what is best described as a murky dusk like feeling. Almost like fog coming in, but hazardous smoke that is not safe to breath. I've had a few moments when I feel it in my chest like a congestion and even low pressure headaches from the smoke. Air masks are sold out all over the area. We are really hoping the rain in the forcast for Thursday and Friday comes in to help with the fires and clean the air out a little.
To see the pictures of Paradise wiped off the map is scary. Seriously.. GONE!! I know a few people personally who lost everything! One of my old techs posted a side by side of the day he and his GF moved into their house and how it is now. It's just a chimney with a Silverado shell in the driveway... the entire house is GONE! And the reports of over 600 people still missing as rescue crews are sifting for bone remnants to find them. The animal shelters are overflowing with rescued pets and there are constant posts and cries for assistance. The local churches and schools have opened their facilities to assist. Local food trucks have gone to the area and served countless meals for free. There are countless places posting "Camp Fire Donations Here!" signs and collecting. It's just so sad and devestating.
A local feel good was the Paradise girl's volleyball team showed up in Lincoln for a scheduled game, but had no equipment, gear, or anything. They showed up with desire to play and that's it. Well, Lincoln had arranged for each girl to have a full new uniform with pads and shoes, a $300 card to each for any other gear they'd need, and a $16,000 donation to the school to assist with anything they need.
It breaks my heart to see the devastation and to hear the cries for help. But it's very reassuring to see the area banding together to help. Many families are opening their homes to victims. The entire area will be stronger because of this.
I can't speak for SoCal, though. They have their own problems with their fires too. But... Cali Strong! Butte Strong!! The people here will rebuild together.
