Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

There are actually a lot of people who love their work. So much so, they don't really think of the downside. So hump day for them is just another day on the job. Think of some of those nerds who we weren't sure about, and how they are now rich and doing very, very well. Think Mosk. Think Gates. Think Zuck. I doubt they all lived for the weekend.

I 'love my work'... but I also still feel the waves of the week. I hate Mondays, and I'm ready for the weekend pretty early on in the week. Hump day is a thing, and my favorite days of the week tend to do with whatever shows are on that time of year.
Granted, my work burnout is on the high side right now. I'm trying to work hard on my stress management and some mindfulness to help with that.
For decades we in certain industries explored the possibilities of working remotely. It was a reality a long ways back, but was not something we tended to endorse with any large numbers, for a variety of reasons. And though it made sense, also for a variety of reasons, the pandemic almost overnight made it not only an acceptable practice, but a recommended work process in a high % of companies. And ultimately it will likely not decline too much for the next few years...maybe it will stay for the long term even if at diminished levels.
But I joked with one of my kids the other day, about leaving their out of office voice message. I told her that she might want to leave her message and then go for a short walk outside, giving the feeling that she has left for the day. Give some meaning to "left for the day". I suppose a person's body is still there, but not their brain.

The world's capability for handling work remotely in a variety of industries is so much different than even just a few years back.
In my industry, remote work isn't super rare, but it's definitely way more common now than it was previously.
I was already half-transitioned to remote work when the pandemic hit.
You're definitely right though that doing something after you 'get off of work' to separate out that part of the day is a healthy habit. Not one I have, mind you.... but a good one none the less.

You still doing Wordle? We are. If so, did you notice they got a little trickier since The NY Times bought them?

There were times I thought exactly that... especially right after they took over. More words with odd character combinations, more words with duplicate letters.
Feels like it's evened back out, or I've gotten better at dealing with it.
