    Thanks!

They've been together for... 8 years now? I'd been calling her my future daughter in law for a long time... then that got annoying, so I just started calling her my daughter in law... then just my daughter. It's just easier.

She is awesome, and she may as well be my daughter. You could tell people that if they knew us both and they'd believe you in a heartbeat. Probably moreso than my son. I'll be doing the Daddy-Daughter dance with her. Shoot. I need to figure out a song for that....

We got a new puppy this week unexpectedly (sorta). It's been nice that it's been pretty warm while we work on training him to go outside to potty.

My son proposed on Valentines, and they plan on getting married in our back yard in just a few months. Gonna have to do some cleanup back there and anything and everything else we can to make it as awesome as possible. We've got Easter lillies and a few others already starting to grow, showing signs of early spring here.

There's one plant in particular I don't think is an Easter lilly, that I saw signs of growing mid January and it blew my mind. I don't remember planting anything where it is, so I look forward to seeing it grow... but it shocked me because I first noticed this just a week or so after we had those record cold temps.

We had a good stretch for a while there, but it's relatively cold out right now, and I'm hating it!

It's not *that* bad, granted... but I live in sweatpants and a hoodie these days, been versatile enough to handle decent temp swings, but it's cold enough out now that I should be grabbing a coat but I usually don't because I'm going in and out soooo many times.

We decided to be a two dog household before that happened, so we got Murphy four years ago. It took us a while to finally get another for a few reasons, but we're glad to have two again.

Mostly we're exhausted though. Puppies are a wonderful handful.

It's 7 years since my son got engaged & I think it may be another 7 years or more before they tie the knot lol.
