I wish I was in a marching band!

I was in the marching band in high school......I think.....that was a long time ago, and I remember wearing a uniform, walking around and playing trombone all at once. Then I spent the firs 3 1/2 years I was in the Marines in the band, doing the same thing, but getting paid to do it AND getting to shoot weapons. How sweet does that get? As far as the movie Drumline is concerned, I was horribly underwhelmed.

These guys do parades and stuff up here all summer long. They are a blast!

Lord Trychon, you were trully lucky ur school was so nice. at my school, we have three groups that usually keep to themselves. At our school, you are either a music kid ( me ) and sports person ( pretty much the entire rest of the school population) or a stoner ( they're always a kick!). seriously though, the football players have never thanked us for playing at the games, although the crowd usually cheers for us. except for the one time our rival school threw beer cans at us. theres an experience for you. we're not a bad band by anymeans, got 9th in state this year, but our schools sports are so good that our band is often considered terrible. oh well, its still fun to do.

The cool thing was was that we got to play in the Orange Bowl parade the same year the CU beat Notre Dame for the National Championship. It was so cool to be down in Florida for that.

After we got back from our trip, I quit!!! It was too hard trying to juggle sports and band so I took the sports road because I wanted to be COOL!!!

My wife still gives me crap to this day for being a band GEEK!!!

I hope you are a Buffs fan. If you were it must have been great to go to Florida and see them win as well as playing. You know I was a band geek to haha.
