Well! here is an example:

The grinning idiot clinging to Je$$e Jack$on is Cindy Sheehan... the sob sister protesting the war at Bush's ranch, who lost her son in the war, the same son she gave up in her divorce when he was 7 years old.

And by the way if you wonder why she has so much free time ... she is going through another divorce right now and guess what? She is giving up custody of another son.

your right...everyone is entitled to his/her opinion...

this is not a "smear" campaign....

I have read upon her and from what I have read...she used his death for her own
agenda....

her and her son had no contact for years.....that is pretty strange...

Well, from how I understand things, she didn't have an agenda until her son died... So of course he would be at the center of that.

As far as whether or not they were in contact and the extent of their relationship I do not know. Frankly I find those topics along with her divorces to be irrelevant in this discussion, which is why I used the term "smear campaign."

I hardly think one thread on a Broncos site expressing her opion(and hers only) consitutes a 'smear campaign'.

Now if she took this national and sent her opion to every newspaper in the country, then you could talk.

While I think every parent, regardless of their relationship with their child, is entitled to grieve, I'd think twice about being so vocal as she is if my relationship had been that flimsy.

I like Lady, and I don't think any less of her for expressing her 'opinion.'

However, perhaps the term 'campaign' is a bit of a stretch since it's limited to this one thread... But what I was getting at is that it's using smear tactics. She calls Sheehan stupid, a grinning idiot, and then delves into a divorce history and speculation into the relationship between family members. At no point does she really address any of the issues or rhetoric presented by Sheehan... IMO, that's smearing someone.

As far as you guys judging the relationship of this woman and her deceased son... Show a little compassion, it's not your place to speculate... And even if they hadn't been speaking, it's still her right as a mother to do these things--(again IMHO.)
