                              "Defence" is the British variant of "defense." So are spellings such as "realise." In
                              such a medium as a football message board, this will draw little criticism . . . or at
                              least should be overlooked. However, if you were to submit an essay with those
                              spellings to me as your instructor, you would get it back with red marks and a
                              reminder that you are presently doing this in the United States.
