I was at the game on Sept 10 - opening night for the new Invesco - the night before Sept 11th - my brother and I went to the game (he is a Giants fan) and we woke up the next morniing to see the 2nd plane crashing into the towers - after we knew what happened and why one of my first thoughts was that if they wanted to kill alot of Americans at once they could have done something to that stadium that night 76,000 people in one big bowl - it freaked me out

Terrorist threat at this weekend's game...
from: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2631048
WASHINGTON -- A Web site is claiming that seven NFL stadiums will be hit with radiological dirty bombs this weekend, but the government on Wednesday expressed doubts about the threat.
The warning, posted Oct. 12, was part of an ongoing Internet conversation titled "New Attack on America Be Afraid." It mentioned NFL stadiums in New York, Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, Oakland and Cleveland, where games are scheduled this weekend.
The Homeland Security Department alerted authorities and stadium owners in those cities, as well as the NFL, of the Web message but said the threat was being viewed "with strong skepticism." Homeland Security spokesman Russ Knocke said there was no intelligence that indicated such an attack was imminent, and that the alert was "out of an abundance of caution."
"The department strongly encourages the public to continue to go about their plans, including attending events that involve large public gatherings such as football games," Knocke said.
The FBI also expressed doubt about the threat.
The nation's alert level remains at yellow, signaling an elevated risk of an attack. The threat level for airline flights is at orange, a higher level, where it has been since a foiled plot to bomb U.S.-bound commercial jets was revealed Aug. 10.
Tony Wyllie, the vice president of communications for the Houston Texans, said the team has been in contact with the NFL regarding what security precautions would need to be taken for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Wyllie said the NFL contacted the team's security people Tuesday night and informed them about the Web site, but he had no other details.

My heart dropped when I saw this thread.
I hope that is just a hoax. I trust that this is not gonna be taken lightly by the NFL.

All major news channels are reporting the threat is not credible per
Homeland Security and FBI. However, since 7 cities would be hit
with a "dirty bomb"....probably best to be cautious and the NFL
be on their toes."War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

be the same as always, cautious but go about your daily life. The terrorists will win if people abandon these games. They dont need to risk their freedom or lives to succeed if they can just say something and scare people away.
Make life easier for the security guards though and only take the absolute bare essentials. As they will be likely on high alert and need to do intensive searches."On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit'. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high."
