"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Originally posted by His WifeThere is a couple that was researching and watching over a family of wolves in Wyoming, and in the end for the safety of the wolves, they transferred the entire family to Montana. Ever heard of this couple? I can't remember their names. Anyhow....they showed footage of just getting acquainted with the wolves by sitting about 100 feet or more away with their legs-crossed and quietly watching and photographing them (and filming). They showed the wolves different personalities, which was amazing to see for yourself on the film. One by one, these wolves would introduce themselves to them by coming over and sitting about 10 feet away from them, slowly getting a little closer each time they came to visit, and slowly allowing them to touch each of the wolves, and then became friends over months, and in the end....they said their lick was absolutely a sign of their love and trust for that person, and another way of identifying you, along with smell. They are truly intelligent, magestic, and family-oriented. Do you know where they have been rescuing these wolves from, parts of the country?

Here are some wolves actually up for adoption.
I hope they don't let just anyone adopt these wolves....or they might end up
right back in the sanctuary.
Just thought you might enjoy this T140. (And then again, maybe not)

The first thing you have to remember xx-bronco-xx Wolves are wild animals, not domesticated like dogs. They will be far more independantly minded and at times difficult to control. An old friend used to own one, he required so much attention and exercise it was amazing this guy could keep up. If this animal was left alone too long he would start to tear the place to shreds."On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit'. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high."

Wolf HavenThey're so pretty! The red one's I think I like the best, their coloring is awesome.
Thinking about it, wolves are such majestic, beautiful, intelligent, independent animal... You just can't help but admire their beauty and intelligence and hate the guts of anyone who would abuse them!!!

ALL wild animals, whether they're 'domesticated' or not, are dangerous!
It's within them......and when cornered or worse, they'll strike out, like their ancestors would.
140, have they ever warned you about locking eyes with the wolves?
An old roomie of mine had a dog that was part golden/part great pyrenees. You'd think being part golden, it'd be loving and docile. And for the most part, it was....until it got around bones and/or raw meat...then you'd best be on your guard.
He ended up nipping a child, and was put down.Last edited by rcsodak; 10-24-2006, 07:15 PM."It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate,
