The worst is going towards Colorado Springs. 9News is on right now (4:00), and it is blizzard conditions at Monument & I-25. I live in Westminster, and probably got about 6", BUT our power went off at 7:15 and did not come on until 3:15. It got REALLY cold in here today.

I am about 25 miles south, southeast of Denver. Up on a ridge, I am slightly above 7,000 feet, and out in the open.

It's really hard to tell with all the wind, and I havent even ventured out to get the paper yet, lol. (It's about 100 feet yards away from the front door, if it's even there, lol.)

Some spots are totally bare. Others have three foot drifts on them.

The driveway is anywhere from 2 to 3 inches, to well over two feet deep. Building up around the truck.

I am all set for this though. I spent an hour last night putting the snowblower on my little JD tractor. Cant wait till it slows down and I can get out there and chew it all up!

I'll make little mountain ridges along one side of the driveway.

Yeah I'll take a powdered sugar dog.

If it's already snowing in Indiana then who knows what November and December will bring

Over in the Springs I saw there is something like 12+ inches of snow.

But here where I am, it's not even sticking. Coming down as sleet more than snow.

We've been in a bad drought, and every snowflake is awsome!

I haven't been in a good ol' blizzard since I left CO about 25 years ago.
My sister is back there now though, maybe I'll call her later and see what she's up to.

My Mom & Dad are on their way to the Springs this afternoon. Are the roads bad?

    Seems tooooo early for snow.

Back where I used to live, Castle Rock and Sedalia, an old neighbor said they have about 12 inches and its blowing very hard. Nothing like a good old blizzard!

    PEACE!!!

That might happen sometime next month.
The bad thing about here is the 3-4 months of over 100f, I can only dream of snow.

You all be careful driving in the snow there!
I love the weather here this time of year, wish it would cool off enough to stop running the AC though.
