IE is lame to me now.
The word "lame" for IE caught my eye. I have IE.
Can you give more examples of why you like firefox
vs IE? I'd be interested in actual 'usage' reasoning
if you know what I mean.
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Firefox is way more organized than IE like if you download a movie theres a download box that will apear telling you what you've downloaded and other stuff like that.

        Easier to use imo.

        Faster and safer than IE.

        The look is pretty cool.

I would really recommend this not only because it's free but what have you got to lose?

I think it's a men and their toys thingy.

The more sophisticated your internet browsing the more you will see the difference between both. If like me, your internet usage is pretty basic, then the difference between the two is less noted.

I like firefox, but out of habit I tend to use IE mostly.

Well #1, there's security. Overall Firefox is better at blocking popups and stopping the installation of malicious little tidbits than IE

Also Firefox is faster at rendering a page than IE, it's less clunky and the end user has more control over preferences.

The plugins for Firefox make my life a lot easier, I'm so used to mouse gestures now that I really can't live without them. It's also nice to be able to code a plugin for yourself when you need it.

It's not so much a boys and their toys factor for me, but just general usability.

Oh, and nowadays Firefox has built in spell check ^_^ a la Microsoft Word. If I'm typing in a forum and type recieve instead of receive, the offending word gets a nice red squiggly line under it.

I use Firefox 2. Better security, tabbed browsing, and far easier to organize your bookmarks (favorites).
