  • The 'I Hate My Boss' Thread

    I guess I'll start:

    I hate my frieking boss!!!

No matter how good of a mood I am in when I come to work, my boss will always find a way to bring me down. Nothing is ever good enough for her, I could do 1000 things right and she'll point out the 1001st thing which was done wrong.

Every little mistake that comes up she treats as though the whole organization is going to go under if it's not corrected immediately... We're talking spelling mistakes here people.

I really need to find a way to be self employed-- Anyone else have a boss from hell?

You could probably go without hearing this but I'm gonna say it anyway. I have one of the greatest bosses out there. We were co-workers for quite some time but he got a promotion (longer tenure, MBA). My old boss was alright but could be an ass at times, so the change was nice. My current one shows appreciation when I go the extra mile, gives me time off when I need it, and always says thanks. It's the perfect boss/employee relationship.
    My other love...

See, I know that better situations (like this one) are out there, so I don't know why I continue to put up with this all the time...

Granted, I don't have the most impressive resume, but I'm a college grad, I can hold my own, I don't need to be walked on every damn day of my life, ya know?

The main thing is the appreciation and recognition of a job well done- you'd think I was an invalid moron the way she talks to me sometimes. More time off would be great, but I'll take what I can get.

I used to work for someone that I just hated. Hated working for her, hated having to be in the same room with her. To this day if I found out she was hit by a car a little tear (OF JOY) would well up in my eye, I’m sure.

She was the main reason I left a company that I was at for 8 yrs. I had 2 other bosses there that I loved, but when that one took over it was the worst 4 yrs of my life!

I am so fortunate that I now have the best boss! She is so wonderful. We all love her here!

I have discussed this with women and men as well....amazing the consences!

WOMEN make HORRIBLE bosses generally speaking.

My best bosses have been men...by far.

Men come to work, want to get their jobs done, have a few laughs
along the way, don't gossip as much, are not quite as judgmental
            with their fellow workers.

Women are too edgy, too competitive.
If you are a nice looking lady, you can feel the scorn of women
walking into a room, simply competitive and jealous on arrival,
and you haven't even gotten started yet.

Women suck as bosses. End of story. That's why I will never vote for
            a woman President.

            Let me add this too....

Women have a hard time with other women who live by the beat of
            their own drum. Examples....
*I hate pot lucks---and if you tell other women you hate pot roasts-they
hate you. (I don't care what they think, but this is a fact)
*Avon, Tupperware, and so on enters into the workplace. UGH I'm there to work, not buy their crap!
*Can't be better looking than they are, smarter than they are, or you'll
start hearing the hush in the room when walking in. (This actually can be funny if you have confidence....but I've seen women quit due to this caddy behavior. I call people on it...end of story).
*Feminists vs Traditionalists. You've got the women who think spending 24/7 at work is the "career track" or should be for all women. Screw the family! OR you have the women who can't stop talking about their family at work---until you want to scream.
*Women have been screwed up since the 60's. Career? No Career? Amazing.
*If you rise up in the ranks in the work place, oh my....you must have "given out" to get there. Interesting....how caddy women can really be. Often idiots.

It's WORK....so work and fly! Everyone else just isn't that important in what they wear or don't wear, bring for food or don't, good looking doesn't equal loose, and don't be afraid of competition....it's healthy and good....keeps you on your toes!

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Ahh yes, time for another installment of "I Hate my Boss."

Jesus H. Christ... Why couldn't Socialism catch on? Coming to this god forsaken place day in and day out makes me want to gnaw my own arms off for no apparent reason.

I am so sick of being stressed out about pety crap... My boss is the most critical person I have ever known- not to mention a rancid b-word... I can't even rant properly because I'm so angry... And it's impossible to convey over the internet what it is that makes me hate this woman so much. Ugghh... Quick, someone tell me their boss sucks too so I don't feel so bad...

I'm pissed off with my boss right now. I was hired to take care of our real estate office's mortgage division, needless to say it's a bit slow lately. So I took over doing the accounting for 4 of his businesses...on top of mortgage and real estate research and closings and a lot of other time consuming junk. I've never been a bookkeeper, never taken any accounting classes, but it's not much harder to do the books for a company than it is to balance your own checkbook. It makes it a lot easier if there is money in the company's account. Lately there is never money in one of our accounts and it's a constant juggling act. Most of the time I get the response...oh the weekend's sales will cover it...well then they don't and who gets the crap lecture about bouncing checks....me. As if I didn't tell him 4 times Friday afternoon that if he didn't put money in the account, checks were going to bounce. 3 years of doing the books, and I guess he figures that I haven't figured out how to balance his checkbooks.

Thank goodness, I told him that I was tired of it. Thank goodness we hired a new accountant. Thank goodness, it's not my worry anymore and I get to get back to what I'm good at. Selling commercial properties and financing. YAHOOOOOOO! HALLELUJAH!!
Ready for the friggen season already!

KCL- At least you are on your way out, so now you can laugh all the way to the bank... And I feel the same way about being laid back and easy to get along with, but some people just insist on being difficult.

I want to leave, but I've only been with the company 6 months, and this is my 1st 'real job' since I got my degree- so I'd like to stay a full year so that it looks like I've got some stability on my resume...

But I've already started casually looking at jobs online, if things stay on course I think I'll get serious about finding a new job after the new year. It's not like I'm making great $$, and I can give up having my own office if it means not having to deal with her crap day after day.

                              Anyone hiring?
