I want to leave, but I've only been with the company 6 months, and this is my 1st 'real job' since I got my degree- so I'd like to stay a full year so that it looks like I've got some stability on my resume...
But I've already started casually looking at jobs online, if things stay on course I think I'll get serious about finding a new job after the new year. It's not like I'm making great $$, and I can give up having my own office if it means not having to deal with her crap day after day.
Anyone hiring?
I am glad I am in a position to leave.I couldn't do anything right in her eyes and she never liked me from the beginning.I still to this day do not understand why.
I think she was intimidated by my knowledge,I know that sounds odd but its the only thing I can think of.
I interviewed for a job today so I will wait to hear back on it.Its just a part time job, very close to home and I will still have my weekends off.
Hang in there,I know its easier said than done.

Annnnnd I'm out...
Well be careful what you wish for I guess...
My time at the current organization has come to a swift and bitter end. I didn't get fired; I guess you could call it a speedy resignation that was strongly encouraged.
As I mentioned in my other thread, the boss basically knew I was miserable here, and caught wind of my other job interview, so she basically sat me down and gave me an ultimatum as to "whether I'm in or I'm out." I told her that ultimately, I would be getting out, but was trying to make a graceful exit once I had another job lined up- that didn't exactly work out.
I came to her with my letter of resignation today and told her I'd give them two weeks notice, but the writing was on the wall that the tension was too great between us and I could tell she wanted me out sooner... Sooo I said "I'll give you two weeks, because I think it's the right thing to do, but if you want me gone sooner, I see no reason for us to both make each other miserable." Soo she said that she thinks it's in both of our best interests if I just leave once the current pay period is over tomorrow...
She also put me through the ringer pretty good, told me how I haven't performed to her expectations given my potential, and that I've got a bad attitude (this is partly true, but I've never ever had a problem at any other place of employment, so I feel like she should share alot of blame in inducing my bad attitude.)
Anyway, on one hand this is a major relief... But on the other hand, I can't really afford to go very long without some income and that reality will set in here in a week or two.
But either way, after tomorrow I won't need to hate my boss any longer...

Well, I don't know yet on the other job KCL... I emailed him the writing samples they asked for, and then called this afternoon to confirm that they got them and thank him for the interview. Just left a voicemail, so I'll stand-by on that one...
I did manage to land a phone interview today for a job that I thought had probably already been filled (sent them my resume like 2.5 weeks ago)... With a little company called Google, you may have heard of them.So that would obviously be awesome to get on with them, but we'll see how that goes.
And Dogfish- I totally agree on life being too short, and I do plan to go out with the friends this weekend and let loose a little bit. I'd like to pull an office space on this damn work computer like they did on the fax machine (the thing is slower than hell)... But only if I can blare "Damn it feels good to be a Gangsta" in the background.
