Of the big cities I have been to, SD is the best.

Now, I will argue that my hometown of Allentown PA is the best overall because

Its proximity to Philly gives it as big city feel with none of the cost of living or crime.

within 2 hours, you are in Philly, NYC, Atlantic City, Washington D.C./Baltimore...or complete wilderness, depending on your direction.

Those two things alone make it attractive. Access to big cities without paying to live in a big city!

That and the sizeable Portuguese population...you ever have a Portuguese donut? Man oh MAN! You ain't lived.

Same with Amish and PA Dutch food.

Everybody's gotta elevate from the norm...

NYC is absolutely #1. It is the only place where you can do anything you want at any time of day or night. Where else in the world can you booze all night and have your choice of 100 chinese food restaurants open at 4 am to chow at? Life does not get better than that!

Atlanta is very cool as well. A little slow for my liking, but fun nonetheless.

Boston is also a great city (minus the annoying Red Sux fans, of course). The best seafood in the world.

San Diego is a great city as well. How can you argue with 75 and sunny every day of the year?

Phoenix is awesome as long as you can deal with old people driving slow. Real slow!

Philly and Cleveland are dumps. Hate 'em both.

Chicago when it's not winter is a great place.

              Denver is breathtaking (pun intended).

Neither is Cleveland, Detroit or Philly, I am not going to put Industrial Dumps on the list. Plus, I wouldn't want to get you shot man!
