Hard liquor doesn't go off. Wine turns to vinegar with the oxidisation.

If the cap has been on it, it will be fine!

Yes, true. I'd have 'no problemo' trying it.
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. Liquor : no problem...
Wine : depends... You have to taste before... But I've drink old bottles (more than 30 years) and I'm still alive (and the wine was great).

If you still hesitate, you can send me the bottle... I would taste it

        Hic... hic...

Just talk slowly please... I'm French

Depending on the Alcohol content, will help determine the shelf life. Because alcohol is distilled in the process, this gives it the ability to be stored for long periods of time, even if it has been opened & exposed to air.

They alcohol content tends to not be as high in some alcohol that has sat around for years, as it will evaporte slowly.

But to answer your question when I was a bar tender, we had some very high end Scotch, Burbon that had been in the bar for better than 6-7 yrs.
But at $30 a shot, it didn't sell very often.
              So you will be fine.

I've never had that problem. Bottles of liquor don't last a week, let alone a year with me!

It was given to me for free from a relative. It's a Long Island Ice Tea Cocktail Mix. With a blend of rum, vodka, gin & tequila, 75 proof. Yeah, it's not the greatest, nor even that good. But hey, it's free liquor, you can't pass up on that, right?

Does it have the sweet n sour in it too? Cuz if thats the case Im not so sure - If its all just alcohol than its good to go - I wasnt even thinking but we have had bottles of liquor on our shelves at the bar for over 3 years (our hennessy comes to mind) and they are still good - at least we still sell it - LOL

But seriously if it has sweet n sour in it - its prolly not good anymore

I had something similar a few months back....

It was just the liquor... the coke and Sweet and sour came seperately.

AND it was only 30 proof.

Anyway... had the place to myself for a few nights... that's what I drank the first.

Here's what was left the next day....

I'm with most everybody else here in telling you that it's probably fine.

But, just in case... I found some info for you.
