  • Are You a RIGHT-Brain Thinker?

Quiz at the bottom of the page...

    Right Brain vs. Left Brain

This theory of the structure and functions of the mind suggests that the two different sides of the brain control two different "modes" of thinking. It also suggests that each of us prefers one mode over the other.

Experimentation has shown that the two different sides, or hemispheres, of the brain are responsible for different manners of thinking. The following table illustrates the differences between left-brain and right-brain thinking:

Most individuals have a distinct preference for one of these styles of thinking. Some, however, are more whole-brained and equally adept at both modes. In general, schools tend to favor left-brain modes of thinking, while downplaying the right-brain ones. Left-brain scholastic subjects focus on logical thinking, analysis, and accuracy. Right-brained subjects, on the other hand, focus on aesthetics, feeling, and creativity.

How Right-Brain vs. Left-Brain Thinking Impacts Learning
Curriculum--In order to be more "whole-brained" in their orientation, schools need to give equal weight to the arts, creativity, and the skills of imagination and synthesis.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

I got six of each which means I'm whole-brained. (or should that be a hole in the brain )

I did one of these before with Tickle and came out balanced brained in that one too.

                I came up with 5-A's and 6-B's, whole-brainer!

My husband won't believe it .....he'll want proof.

Definitely a case of a hole in the brain as there were 12 questions in the quiz so 5A's and 6B's doesn't quite add up

You are right, I only answered 11 questions!

Definite hole in the brain! So it kind of blows the whole-brainer
theory right out of the water!

                            --- According to this test, I'm a "whole-brainer" ---

--- I once took a far more complicated test administered by a psychologist, and he was actually stunned that my results were also exactly 50/50 ---

--- The test had hundreds of questions and he said that he personally never had anyone hit the 50 percentile, and that it was an extremely rare occurrence ---

--- I once took a test that was among a battery of entrance exams when I was very young, that caused me to be very anxious and nervous ---

--- The test determines what percentage of masculine and feminine traits and tendencies one is composed --- I was barely 18 so this test riled me a bit to say the least ---

--- Worse, I had no idea about the subject of the test until the day that I took it !

--- All went well, and during my maturation process, I realized the importance of the test ---

--- I also know at least one other member of Broncomania that must have taken that same test ! ---

--- Cheers to all the balanced brainers !!! ---
