Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Trevor Pryce came into my ex girlfriend's work a few years ago. She heard from someone that there was a Broncos player there and she actually asked him on his way out for his autograph. Granted it was on paper that came from the machine that prints receipts but pretty cool nonetheless.
I wasnt there (of course cuz I always miss the good stuff) but Garth Brooks came into our restaurant yesterday for lunch I dont listen to ANY country music and couldnt name a song he does BUT it was still cool- We've now had Garth Brooks and Tiki Barber's Dad - Missed him too- I was there but Chef didnt tell me who it was till he had already left
Hey OBie... that's cool...
May be you could add me on that list when I'll come to the US ...
I've ate in a restaurant near famous singers (in France) : Carol Frederiks & Michael Jones (they were singing with JJ. Goldman a guy who wrote 2 albums for Céline Dion)... That was cool...
But I would prefer to have a dinner with all my Broncos girlies... Don't you think so ?
I was fortunate enough to see one of his last shows in person. It was the last 4 or 5 city tour that he was doing live on TV. I won tickets on the local radio station to go see him in LA. It was a contest and they played 5- 1 second clips from 5 songs and you had to guess all 5. It was soooo cool to be there and to have it being filmed live for the rest of the country to watch. It was especially rewarding because like you, I have stood in line for hours only to be turned away after the tickets sold out in 15 minutes.
I understand why he retired, but for selfish reasons I wish he as still performing and making records.
I saw his last tour in Las Vegas. I explained about that in my Garth thread under entertainment. That was so good.
He played for 4 nights in Vegas that final tour. We were opening night but after the first 3 sold out in a day, they added the 4th night which actually became the first night.
Me and my best friend from high school missed our senior prom (BOR-RING), and stood in line for over 24 hours to get tickets to his concert as gifts to ourselves for high school graduation.
(Besides, neither one of us had dates to the prom, anyways )
The show was at McNichols Arena-if anyone remembers that place- We were 10 rows up in the center from the floor.
Martina McBride and Chris LeDoux opened for him....

Well he said he would come back - he loved the food - so I will maybe get a few CD's or something to leave at the restaurant so he can sign them the next time he comes in - I would be happy to send them to you guys - no promises though - but I will def. do my best to try - it will prolly be awhile b4 he comes back
Yeah, that would be too hard for you to predict or know, but it would be great if that ever could occur!

I'm a Garth fan. He could sing to me any time he'd like to.
