      That is WAY cool.

I am like WTM. He is one of my all time favs. Great live show (too bad no more of that) and a fantastic entertainer.

I would have known who he was and probably made a complete fool out of myself. So Trisha wasn't with him? How 'bout the kids?

A Big Fat NO to working more - LOL

Thats job #2 - I only work nights there- I work the bar part of the restaurant - tues, thurs, fri, sat - Im going in tonight cuz there is a party - Im a paralegal by day (M-F)

Everyone said he was super nice (which ive heard several times) he called ahead at lunch time and we were packed so he waited till about 2 when no one is really there - but they said everyone that was there he gladly signed autographs for - he lives around this area so theres always Garth sitings - I heard about how he helped a lady change her flat tire in a store parking lot one day - I dont think ive ever heard anything bad about him (well accept the whole affair thing - but I dont really know what happened there so i cant judge)

That doesn't surprise me about him at all. One of the things that drew me to him waaaaaay back was his simpleness of being so HUGE. He wasn't twangy ( so that was nice ) when he sang, wore sweats and baseball caps when he was hanging out, always stayed sincere and humble, and never let his status be above anyone.

I'm a Garth fan. He could sing to me any time he'd like to.

I'd love to see that guy in concert again!

Me and my best friend from high school missed our senior prom (BOR-RING), and stood in line for over 24 hours to get tickets to his concert as gifts to ourselves for high school graduation.

(Besides, neither one of us had dates to the prom, anyways )

The show was at McNichols Arena-if anyone remembers that place- We were 10 rows up in the center from the floor.

Martina McBride and Chris LeDoux opened for him....

Yeah, that would be too hard for you to predict or know, but it would be great if that ever could occur!

I was fortunate enough to see one of his last shows in person. It was the last 4 or 5 city tour that he was doing live on TV. I won tickets on the local radio station to go see him in LA. It was a contest and they played 5- 1 second clips from 5 songs and you had to guess all 5. It was soooo cool to be there and to have it being filmed live for the rest of the country to watch. It was especially rewarding because like you, I have stood in line for hours only to be turned away after the tickets sold out in 15 minutes.

I understand why he retired, but for selfish reasons I wish he as still performing and making records.

I saw his last tour in Las Vegas. I explained about that in my Garth thread under entertainment. That was so good.

He played for 4 nights in Vegas that final tour. We were opening night but after the first 3 sold out in a day, they added the 4th night which actually became the first night.
