    Will try this again.....

I don't understand the problem, here....

..since nobody was around 1000's of years ago to tell us what this place looked like, how do we know that it's not SUPPOSED to be free of ice?

Maybe the earth went through a severely cold spell, ICE AGE, and extra ice formed, creating something unnatural.

Hey, my guess is as good as the next guy's......

Let me say that I'm not for or against global warming theory.

My main complaint is that they come up with these computer models telling us the weather is going to be a certain way in 10-20 or even 100 years. As far as I'm concerned, they have no credibility. They can't tell me what the weather is going to be next week, yet they expect me to believe them when they tell me what it will be like in 50 or more years, yea right.

There are two kinds of teams in the AFCW; The losers and the Broncos!!!

      I Support our Troops!
How do you expect me to have a RED WHITE and BLUE sig when the background is obnoxious white?

The weather forecasters have a hard enough time predicting the weather a week ahead. They get paid to guess. Hmmm! Maybe I should give up being a journeyman wireman and become a weather forecaster.

I think meteorologist would be a great occupation, one of the few jobs you can be wrong as much or more than you're right and still keep.

I for one believe in global warming. We've released far too much gas into the air then the earth naturally takes, something has (and will) give. You pour a little sugar into your tea, it's alright. You pour a dozen packages and you've got something else -- a different cup of tea. We're transforming the planet's make-up into a different product as well.

The human race is very slow to come to grips with what is happening to them. People become fat over time, failing to recognize it until they may be beyond help. Fail their quizzes and tests but ultimately not do anything about until they see that report card. So if global warming does exist, and we're being slammed in the face with crucial evidence. Sadly, I fully expect the human race not to do diddily until something big happens, and even then, probably still continue with their ways.

Regardless of all that, this may have nothing to do with global warming. Not everything that happens in nature is going to be related. However, when there are many other eyebrow-raising events happening at the same time, you have to at least give it some well-earned consideration.

Nub, I can appreciate your opinion....

              ...but really.....

....since nobody's been around since the beginning, how do we know this isn't

              just a typical occurance?

Scientists see something new, they think it's the 'start of something'....

...while the earth is laughing....knowing that it's just 'that time of century'.....
