Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

You like to find the crappy news stories, huh??lol
As for the Dakota Fanning thing, as long as she isn't straight up naked or anything I think it should be fine. It happens in real life, so why not be able to depict it in a movie, especially if that depiction is supposed to teach a lesson, and isn't just a random scene.

All you nooby dooby doos need to stop making stupid threads.:coffee:
Oh, I don't think I can take looking at the story about the baby, sorry.
I've seen the school beating today on the news....hope they put the screws to those girls----and taping it seems very well organized and planned, doesn't it?
Dakota is a great little actress. I hesitate to comment on that until I see the movie or hear from others on it. The media has been giving her a very hard time for doing this scene and being put into this role. I love that kid. She's great!
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Well I appreciate you letting me know that, because that's really hard realism to handle sometimes. People are so cruel today, sometimes it's a bit much to read.
Thank you!

anytime because you like across the river and you are pretty nice.
From what I've heard, the Fanning movie's "controversial scene" is nothing but shadow-play. Meaning, you know it's going on but it isn't explicitly shown a la Irreversible.
"When Kepler found his long-cherished belief did not agree with the most precise observation, he accepted the uncomfortable fact. He preferred the hard truth to his dearest illusions; that is the heart of science."

In all honesty I would rather have read about him killing the baby, then putting it through the insane amount of pain from being shot by a BB gun over and over again. At least then the baby isn't suffering, it is still losing it's life, but it isn't alive and going through massive amounts of pain.
And I don't mean this to look like I want to read about babies getting killed, just that I would rather the baby wasn't in pain all the time... at least if it dies, it doesn't have to deal with the crap that some people go through in their lives, and it doesn't have to be hurting. Also, now it will have to deal with that father for the rest of it's life, so who knows what the father will do.

There you go....trying to make me feel better, eh?
May the father be imprisoned and be someone's sex slave for the rest of his life.
