  • Rare Shark from the Depths of the Ocean on Film!

A rare prehistoric shark has been captured on film by a Japanese marine park.
The shark is rarely seen alive because its natural habitat is 600 metres or more under the sea. Dominic Hughes reports.

I understand the shark died in captivity. (Sad)

Jaws - a cousin twice removed?
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

OMG is that thing ugly. I heard them talking about this on the radio the other day.

I was suprised to hear that this animal can be traced by 18 MILLION years. I honestly didn't even know that was possible?

There's a couple of other living "fossils" as they are called. MEaning that an animal still lives today and can be found in the fossil record as well.

I saw a picture of him the other day and got really excited! I love sharks! They are really quite interesting and I love seeing new animals. Its pretty cool to think that there could be all kinds of animals out there that no one has ever seen.
                  ...capture it...remember it...
