  • Anyone Dieting?

The Atkins Diet outperformed all other diets in a recent study.

I'm not surprised at all. I've been on the Atkins Diet for about 9 weeks now, and I've already shed about 45 lbs.

I've gotta tell you, it's easy, too. I'm not hungry, I can eat as much as I want, and I just watch the pounds fall off. I love this diet!

I also lift 3-4 times a week, so that's helping, too. But suffice to say, if you need to lose some weight, I really have to recommend it.

It only takes a couple of days to get the desire for carbohydrates completely out of your system. The hardest part was giving up a bunch of caffeinated stuff at the same time. I used to drink Monster energy drinks, and I've really curbed that back. Now, I just drink water, Crystal Light and Lipton Diet green tea. It's not tough.

I'm still not eating bread or anything... and the last time I caved was a few weeks ago, when those crunchy croutons on my salad just begged to be devoured.

Anyhow, if this helps one person here, my work is done.

My doctors tell me I am under weight for my age and height. So I will say no. But good job man. Keep it up. It has to be tough to keep on a diet with all the cheap fast food out there. Although I don't really eat in public places. More so with fast food. I do not like the idea of other people touching my food. (I have a germphobia) I do eat a lot of kit kats thoguh... hummmmmmmmm

      But I LOVE bread.
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

And believe me, I look forward to the day that I reach my goal weight and I can have it again!

But for now, it's a :nono:

I used to think that too! But Fred the Bunny talked me into trying it, and I'll be darned if I'm not sitting here two months later, wondering why I didn't try this a long time ago!

            Thanks!

I am fat and proud. You can't do anything about it.

I would have caved with the crunchy croutons myself....
in fact, I just did when I took my daughter to dinner last night.

Thanks pal. It's not like I'm obese or nothing. I'm just tubby. My doctor says I'm healthy.

God, this is why I hate vacations....I miss all kinds of stuff.

I have been low carb now for about 3 years.

Total weight lost so far? 107 lbs.

I'm now weight training about 5 days a week (I alternate the bulk of each session between weights & cardio).

And by the way.... Matt looks fantastic...with or without the extra pounds.
I'm very proud of ya, sweetie.
