About your request, I wasn’t able to have the sound, but I saw this on TV.
It’s a show where people can make a casting in front of a professional jury (there are 1 song writer André Manoukian, 1 musician Manu Katché (drummer), a singer and song writer Marianne James and a producer Dove Attia).
The 10 best would be in a contest to win the price : make an album with a major… This is “la nouvelle star” (the new star)… I guess you have this show too in the US but I don’t know the name.

Anyway, to sum up what happened.

The guy come and says he will make 2 songs : a beatbox and after he’ll sing.
The jury says it’s ok.

Then the guy does his show.
The jury are so impressed that they give him the pass for the next round even though he didn’t sing… They were impressed because the guy managed to do 4 voices and they give a technical explanation (too hard for me to translate )…
