Lassie was good, but Flipper was a better show.

It was different watching a show about a dolphin. Most everyone had a dog.

Lassie was a better companion. To hang out with Lassie didn't require your skin to be pruned up by to much time in the water. Each show was easily predictible.

        Ah ha...cute.

I loved Lassie, but it was always painful to watch in a lot of ways, and I'd feel like crying with worry about how it would all turn out in the end.
        THE PRESSURE. :shake:

I voted for Flipper, less dramatic and that dolphin was every kids dream.
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

His Wife........... I wonder if the teenagers are saying, "Flipper who and Lassie what". Those show were over 25 and 30 years ago.

Ah-ha! It was a 'trick' question.

The drama is what made Lassie great.

Flipper's theme song actually had words (Pretty awesome song too!):

Everyone loves the king of the sea,
Ever so kind and gentle is he,
Tricks he will do when children appear,
And how they laugh when he's near!

They call him Flipper, Flipper, faster than lightning,
No-one you see, is smarter than he,
And we know Flipper, lives in a world full of wonder,
                            Flying there-under, under the sea!
