  • E-Mail Spam

My Hotmail account has been full of spam recently.

I am only 14 so I don't see why I should get any. I don't pay for things online.

    Anyone know why?

Generally, they dont know your 14 so they just fill in as many e-mail accounts as they can.

Hotmail is absolutely terrible at it.
Rest in Peace, Darrent and Damien. You will be forever in our thoughts

There ya go, spammers usually do it one of three ways.

              1) They buy it or rip it from a website.

              2) They create computer programs that create thousands of randomly generated e-mail addresses and send them (Mass spamming)

              3) They get lucky.

                It's getting scary though.

I don't like hearing about a Australian banker who has a big bank in Nigeria got shot and now my funds are being transmited to Iceland.

It's something you would hear in James Bond.

Whoops, I have said too much.

All of it is fake, and sadly, it still gets people hurt.

you shouldn't even be opening those emails ... if you don't know who they are from delete them and don't look back. Some of those emails can contain viruses or worms and the minute you open them your computer is infected.

again .... if you don't know who they are from, DELETE!

McAfee is one of the easiest firewall/virus program to get around and trust me .... the people that send these emails could (if they wanted/needed to) probably get through even the highest levels of computer security.

Trust me when I tell you ... delete the email, don't even open them!

                            I'll take that bet

Your e-mail probably got leaked onto a site you registered at. (Not this one, I'm sure )

                              Grrrrr.

I don't want to do another 3 hour long virus scans.
