Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I used to drink 1-2 cokes (or pop as some weirdos may call it) a day. I stopped a year and a half ago out of the blue and just started drinking green tea.
The thing I noticed was how much caffeine effects me now, because my tolerance to it disappeared.
two or three years ago, i gave up drinking pop. when i was younger, i'd down a couple pepsis a day. then when i was around 17 i was drinking about 9 cans of mountian dew a day. this went on til i was about 20.
i sound like i'm working a telathon here lol, but hear me out, this might help you out.
one day when i was about 20, 21 i said screw it, i've had enough. the caffeine, sugar, everything, was having effects on me, some i never knew about. it changes your mood, can ruin your skin, puts on weight, etc. so i just stopped. no coffee either, or beer. once in awhile but never consistently.
i drank nothing but water. 2L per day. i was never a large person but i dropped all the excess water weight in my system. fast, too. water gets your kidneys functioning as they should be, as they stop storing water in your system, which can appear as fat. i also noticed my skin felt better, softer. well, i didn't, my girlfriend did. girls have this weird thing about skin but hey, that's cool. i also felt my mood become better. you just seem happier, lighter, like you've gotten rid of the toxic blech that was running through you.
i'm just posting this because of all the things we hear about for weight loss and health, it almost always to do with eating right, and what you do and don't eat. you never hear about how well water can work for you. i tried and it did wonders.
i know i know, water sounds boring, but you've just got to train yourself into drinking it daily. i'll drink 4 500ml bottles everyday. i don't even miss pop, i've seen at it so long. you learn to only crave water. sometimes i miss dr pepper and pepsi and so on but i don't even care when i think about how much better my body functions as a whole. it's something you've got to stick with though. exercise will help too but we all know that.
sorry this seems so rushed, it's because it is, but i figured hey, why not try and spread the word on something not alot of people try. natural fruit juice and such is good, but only water will do the trick the best. key is, and this might sound silly-pee alot. whenever you have to. you might just think "this is the water i just drank coming right back out" but it's not. it's water that's been in your system for awhile, coming out. the effects are nothing but positive and it works really, really well. i'd recommend giving it a shot for a couple months and see the results.
again, i sound like i'm selling something, but i'm not. it just worked for me, and i figured i had a few minutes to kill before work (but went on a little longer than i thought) and figured maybe it could help someone here.

Soda is pretty much evil. It has absolutely no nutritional value, and unlike water, has no systemic value to your digestive and metabolic systems either.

Rivers has probably now the fastest release in the NFL that Favre is retired. - riversOWNSdonks Rivers has the potential to be better than Brady or any QB ever - riversOWNSdonks
I haven't been drinking much lately, but after working 30 hours over the past week and being drained from the past two days and a week of family visiting, I gave in and had four today. Very out of character for me.
When I get back to school, it's going to be all water for me. That's my goal, water and juice for the whole year.
We have some fantastic deals on bottled water, so I'm going to get about 5 packs of the bottled water (24 per pack) and take that up to University.
It took me a while this summer to get used to not having the caffeine, but I've been sleeping a lot better, and I've been feeling a lot better.

My problem is I am 30 years old and have been drinking roughly 2 liters of pop a day for the last decade.
There have been a few times where I was able to quit cold turkey and not have any for months but soon as I drink just 1, it is over and I am hooked again.
I just had a roll of Shock-spree, am downing a most delicious A&W (and am planning another), and have a Snickers awaiting consumption in my mini-fridge. They all taste great. You guys should have some... Mmmmmm, peanut-butter and chocolate... sweet, sweet caffeine and sugar... I swear, I can feel the buzz of cola on my tongue and my fickle taste-buds are uniting to have an orgy of graphic tastiness.
