Sprite? Good. You mind if I have some of your tasty beverage to wash this down with?

I have a dish. Our cable company in Colorado Springs raised the rates so much that I got sick of it. Direct TV with TiVo rocks.

Some people don't watch TV. Hard to believe but true.

Definitely hard to believe. Don't get me wrong I'm a very active person, but I couldn't live without TV.

I have cable now, but I'm really tempted to get a dish. The only things that concern me is 1) you can't get a reception when it's raining, snowing, or you have the dish close to trees and 2) you can't get a decent internet connection when you have a dish. I have a cable modem now, but I don't know if I wanna give that up.

That's just what I heard. Can anyone tell me what's really up?

Not sure about the snow but when it rains you only rarely lose the signal if the cloud cover is very heavy. I only lose the signal about 4 or 5 times a year and it's usually only for a few minutes at a time. It hasn't happened during a Broncos game yet.

Also, you just need a open spot to the south at a certain angle up to the sky. If you've got that then don't worry about the trees.

As far as cable internet goes, you'd have to check and see if DSL is available in your area. It's peak bandwidth isn't as high as cable but it's still fast and it isn't shared with your local cable area so the overall speed stays very fast.
