The only things that concern me is 1) you can't get a reception when it's raining, snowing, or you have the dish close to trees and 2) you can't get a decent internet connection when you have a dish. I have a cable modem now, but I don't know if I wanna give that up.
That's just what I heard. Can anyone tell me what's really up?
Also, you just need a open spot to the south at a certain angle up to the sky. If you've got that then don't worry about the trees.
As far as cable internet goes, you'd have to check and see if DSL is available in your area. It's peak bandwidth isn't as high as cable but it's still fast and it isn't shared with your local cable area so the overall speed stays very fast.
