The CP thing is the Contribution Points system, instituted a few months back.
If you like a post, for whatever reason, you can reward the poster by clicking the little justice scale in the upper right of that post. You will see a little window pop up. Check the litle box and leave a note if you wish.
You can also see if you have any points by going to the Control panel. Thats the link User CP in the upper left of the page.
There are large threads about it all in Feedback and Gen. Disc. Lots of answers there. However, if you have any specific questions, feel free to ask!
