Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Hell no I won't give him a bravo. Barry Bonds is a cheater and has no place in the Hall of Fame. If he is found guilty of steroid use he has no place playing another play this year either.

How does that warrant props for him?
Actually, he can't just go and get tested outside of the appoved conditions set forth by the player's union. Sad but true. The guys in charge of the union have legal backgrounds similar to the ACLU's causes, and invasion of privacy is one of the big things they hate, but I seriously think they need to re-think who they are protecting? A handful of guys who hit a ton of homers, not the other large percentage who resent those guys.
I think if guys could get tested whenver they wanted, a LOT of guys would, just to put pressure on those they suspect are using.
I mean, even if you were clean, suddenly, refusing to test makes you look suspicious, you know?

no no no we should never congratulate a drug user !!!!!! those steroids are banned every where but mlb. both his and Mcguires should not be allowed in the book, lets see if bonds can hit 70 this year without steroids. both him and mcguire hit twenty to fourty every year then al the sudden 60, 65,70 dont be fooled into believing there was no steroid use
sigpic
when do native Americans become human and not mascots

Mcgwire broke 40 a few times before he left Oakland, and was a BIG guy.
Bonds did put on a hell of a lot of weight.
Putting them in the same catagory is ridiculous.
Andro, while not necessarily the safest thing in the world, was a legal, OTC drug when McGwire used it. Bonds personal trainer is accused of illicit drung trafficking. Do you know how far apart those are?
McGwire maybe used a supplement that may prove to be bad or even banned, but did so legally. Bonds may have willingly used illegally prescribed steroids to improve perfomance. From an ethical and legal standpoint, I can't see how they are comparable.
