That was beautiful. Shame Varly didn't get the shut out, he deserved it. But otherwise it was amazing. Steve Downie with the Gordie Howe Hatrick, nice debut for Mackinnon, Tanguay with 3 assists in his return, McGinn with two goals, O'Reilly and Duchene getting in on the action.

And then Roy at the end. The Avs are back.

I'm betting this will last the whole, Cory. Roy actually sticks up for his players and acts like he cares. The players are going to love that, and they've already bought in.

It very well has the potential to be a career moment for Ryno, realizing he's not much of a offensive force but is one HELL of a setup man....

He honestly has the best vision on the team, right before Duchene. I think he's going to make a fine wing.

I think we make the playoffs this year. Yea, we're not going to look that good most nights but everyone looks like they care and are actually trying. There's too much talent to waste.

I was at the game tonight, and there was an enthusiasm from the players and the fans like I have never seen. Now I am really pumped about this year. Hopefully it doesn't fizzle out.

Also if anyone is going to a pepsi center game, give an extra 30 minutes to get through the new metal detectors. I almost missed the introductions and I arrived at pepsi center around 6:45pm.
