  • [Rockies] O'Dowd steps down

Source: O’Dowd stepping down as #Rockies GM. Geivett also resigning and leaving organization. Team will name new GM.

#Rockies will name Jeff Bridich GM today, replacing Dan O'Dowd, who has stepped down. Bill Geivett, senior VP, also resigns

Sounds like another yes man from inside a poorly run organization sigh

It is like the Dallas Cowboys of the baseball world, minus the winning percentage.

Now if Weiss would do the same thing, I would be a happy season ticket holder.

No, Monfort needs to go before anything changes... It is blatantly obvious he has no clue how to run an organization.

At least they have the ABQ isotopes now.

Didn't Homer Simpson block that move from Springfield with his hunger strike?

So I guess our new GM was in charge of player development in our farm system?

Um wasn't our farm system the worse in baseball?

I wish they could have done hired from outside than within. But, I will take this as a start.

Unless Monfort sells the team, I have very little hope for the Rockies.

That Simpson's episode had a lot to do with the vote to adopt the name Isotopes. ABQ's AAA club used to be called the Dukes from the Duke City (named after the Duke of Albuquerque). Isotopes has NM connections as well dating from the nuclear age.

A new facility got a new name, and now it's the AAA team for the Rockies which makes me happy..

Going in house was the worst thing we could do.

Hoping for the best, but with the in house hire, expecting the worse.
