It wasn’t always pretty but we managed to keep our home court advantage. That’s 2 games now where it looks like the Lakers ran out of gas, this game a bit earlier than the first. We won’t have the altitude in games 3 and 4 but with game 3 on Saturday instead of Sunday and having to travel back to LA we might be able to steal game 3 and put the Lakers up against the ropes for the rest of the series. Role players are going to have to travel and that doesn’t always happen in the playoffs, so Jokic and Murray will need to be at their peak in order to pull it out.

This was more like the scoreline I was expecting in this series.
Both teams are stong defensively. So much has ne made of the Lakers D but the Nuggets D is just as good. The difference between the two team is thar Denver just has more firepower. The Lakers made a lot of how Ham and AD were going to clsmp Jokic and stop him scoring. Well, they did reduce his total number of points amd shooting percentage but that's only part of Jokic's game. He still had 17 rebounds and 12 assists.
Murray stole the show. What impresses me most about Murray is that he probably isn't yet at peak form or match fitness. He's had so much time out of the game and this is his first year back - and not even the while year. He should be even better and more consistent next season. Even so in his last 10 games he's scored: 19, 35, 34, 10, 32, 28, 19, 26, 31, 37. Thats 25+ in 7 of his last 10 games.👍 2Comment

Great first quarter, that early punch never came but we can’t relax and have to expect it to come at any time in this game. They’re already starting to eat into the lead because these are the Jeff Green minutes👍 1Comment

Blew the lead there in the 2nd. Murray is obviously keeping us up and in this game. Hopefully Jokic finds some lift on his shot this 2nd half because someone else is going to have to step up to stop them from loading up on Murray. Even if it’s KCP stepping up, we need someone else.👍 1Comment

He looks gassed to me. He’s just been uncharacteristically short all night and he hasn’t been pushing the pace as much or running off screens like he was in Denver. I’m hoping he catches a jolt of energy before this game is over because even though we’re up it just feels like we’re just barely hanging on by a thread. Also MPJ’s shot selection is real bad tonight. The outside shot is off, he needs to recognize that he needs to attack the basket and not settle for pull up 3s, side step 3s, or contested midrange shots. Bruce Brown is also going to need to bring some energy when he gets in because we’re kind of easing into this half👍 1Comment

Hopefully that extra time on the bench allowed Jokic to gather himself for a tough finish. KCP, Brown, and MPJ all stepped up to help keep us ahead. Unfortunate that we couldn’t build on the lead, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Jokic and Gordon are the only 2 that haven’t carried the offense so far this game, time for them to pick it up and put some pressure on the defense. I doubt another Murray flurry is coming👍 1Comment

This team is all business. Big win. Congrats. Maybe Jimmy can beat the Celtics again tomorrow, and we'll know Denver is going to see a lot of 2-3 in the Finals. Might as well get this over with and close LA out in 4. Didn't know when the day would come, but it looks like father time has finally caught up with LeBron.👍 1Comment
