Might as well get this over with and close LA out in 4. Didn't know when the day would come, but it looks like father time has finally caught up with LeBron.
It sure looks like it but I’m also too scared to claim it.

    • I’ve been ragging on him all season but I have to credit where it’s due, Jeff Green had some phenomenal minutes in that 2nd half. Idk if Malone forgot to sub in Gordon again at the end but Green stepped up there

Yeah a buddy of mine who likes him was messaging me first quarter that the Nuggets looked pissed off. Because even after game 2 the narrative was still Lakers. I said well Jeff Green is about to come mess it up. But he didn’t. He provided very solid minutes defensively when Brown and Joker picked up foul trouble. And even hit some timely shots in the fourth.

        • The worst 3 quarters Jokic has played for a long time, but this team knows how to win. Murray came through in the 4th quarter massively in Game 2, and Jokic in a lesser way today.

We shouldn't be all that suprised with our Q4 strength in the past two games. The Lakers just don't have the energy or scoring power to stay with us over 4 quarters. Especially not with a game every other day.

We also have more heart and are the better all round team.

          • The Lakers predictably had their largest FT differential of the series today at +10.

            DEN 14-19
            LAL 22-29

And we still won by 11.

This is why I never really like blaming officials in sports. Better teams take care of business and make it not matter. Not saying it doesn’t get on my nerves plenty. Anticipation whistles in the NBA are probably the most corrupt thing in all of sports. I don’t really blame them for getting Jokics 4th foul call wrong full speed. But when Malone challenges and you get a slow mo replay to see he completely wiffed and didn’t even touch AD at all they made a conscious decision to get it wrong on purpose. And the Lakers and Lebron get that more than anyone. Which is why it’s hilarious to see Lebron whine about not getting calls so bad.

Van Gundy said it best that when they chose to make that call the officials clearly impacted the game. It gave them free throws and sent Jokic to the bench for a long time which changes the game. But our depth and legs are so deep compared to the Lakers that it still didn’t matter.

              • We're actually going to go to the Finals barring an epic collapse.

                • National narrative still seems to be about the lakers and if they have the heart to only win tonight but make it all the way back. Hopefully the nuggets use that as fuel to come out and dominate tonight just like they did in game 3 after all the talk was the lakers figured them out

                  • I have just realised that the Heat has a 6ft 10 young Serbian role player called Nikola Jovič. Things could get confusing if the Heat and Nuggets get through.

He's not a role player, he's a rookie prospect. He only gets into games if it's a blowout. There will be no confusion because Jovic won't be on the court.
                      Anyone seen Jake Plummer?

                      • Not a good sign trying to only shoot 3’s to start.

                        • Refs inserting themselves big time to stop the momentum we started to gather. Gordon picking up LeBron full court is a must, KCP starting to show more energy on defense as well. Coming back in the 2nd half won’t be easy, but it’s going to have to start with defense and attacking in transition.

                          • Definitely looks like a team feeling the pressure of trying to close out for the first time ever in a conference finals.

                            • Didn’t think we’d get it all back in 8 minutes in the 3rd but the Lakers look like they forgot there was a 2nd half to play while we’ve upped the intensity. This is going to be an exciting finish. I don’t expect LeBron to stay this passive the rest of the game and he’s going to have to put them back on his back because Schroeder, Hachimura, and Reaves can’t do it with AD playing so soft.

He already started attacking again more in the final minutes after the nuggets took the lead.
