  • Good to see nothing has changed since Thursday. Still look like a team that doesn’t belong.

    • Couple of missed calls in that 2nd period.

      • Much better second period until those final two minutes. Sometimes it’s like they just quit playing.

The blues fans are such whiners. Crying about Kadris completely accidental hit on Binnington when his own defender crashed into him first. And on a loose puck no less.

Meanwhile the hit on girard was so late and rather dirty. That’s the one thing I don’t really like about hockey is how late the hits are allowed. Imagine being allowed to smash a QB like that 2-3 seconds after he threw the ball.

                • Yep totally agree. I've never been kadris greatest fan when it comes to his play but he did absolutely nothing wrong last night I don't get the uproar from at Louis fans

They seem to just still be bitter grapes about last years hit. Have you seen the video of binnington swinging his stick at Kadri pregame? I have no clue what that does to help resolve the tension. But Binnington has no one to blame but himself and his defender for creating a loose puck situation that both skaters were trying to go after including his own momentum coming forward to get it. The defender crashed first and then Kadri crashed. This isn’t a controlled puck situation where Kadri should be attempting to stop short of net. It’s a loose puck scramble. It’s unfortunate what happened but no one is at fault.

yeah seen the video of that, according to media people binnington threw a water bottle at kadri during his interview also. Binnington is a hotheaded psycho. NHL has reviewed the play also and does not intend to react as they also say it was just two players colliding going for a loose puck

                      • Good rebound game from the Avs.

Hate to see anyone get hurt, but, if Binnington is out for any length of time, the Avs must capitalize.

Time to set off an avalanche and bury the Blues in 3-1 hole!!

                        • Game 4 will be a good one. Hopefully they put MacDermid in Girard's spot in the top 6. Girard hit was pretty dirty, looked like Barbashev stood up a bit when he closed in on him and caused more contact to his head. Thought he was being treated for a concussion before the news about his sternum came out.

Binnington is a child and has nobody to blame but himself for getting injured. Should have held onto that puck.

                          • They need to sit Burakovsky and Helm for a game. Burakovsky has been horrible out there all playoffs and Helm had a rough game yesterday too.

                            Bring in:
                            Newhook for Burakovsky
                            MacDermid for Helm
                            Johnson for Girard

Bringing in MacDermid as a fourth line winger gives you some flexibility in case old man JJ looks bad out there, as MacDermid can play both winger and d.
                            Anyone seen Jake Plummer?

Interesting take. I feel like Burakovsky has been one of the most consistent performers. A lot of the top line has failed to generate points this round but no one is clambering to bench them.

Burakovsky skates well but he has had many boneheaded defensive plays and he absolutely NEVER knows what to do with the puck on his stick. He just skates around until someone takes it from him. Rarely puts it on net, never makes a tape to tape pass. He's been horrible.

Rantanen and MacKinnon haven't been scoring goals but Burakovsky has been far worse. The Avs are extremely fortunate that Sakic traded for Lehkonen.
