The Avs just won a cup with a cyclops Kuemper and a back up. This move frees up more cash to keep the team together. I love it.

Now get the deals done with Lehkonen and Nichushkin and then see if we can squeeze Kadri, Miller, or Malkin in there.

Definitely rather have nichuskin,lech and/or Kadri over kuemper tho I'm not sure we can do all of those but we'll see.

Anyone that they can't sign they should trade the negotiating rights to immediately, before the draft.

Kuemper and Burakovsky definitely, Manson if there's no chance he will be back, Kadri if someone offers him 10M+.

Dater also just said the rumors Manson has his heart set on going back to Anaheim are totally wrong

Well that's encouraging but considering Dater is only right about 24% of the time it doesn't mean a lot.

Still, if they could keep the defensive group of Makar, Toews, Byram, Girard, EJ, and Manson together I'd be over the moon.

Agreed. The patience he showed, and his methodical approach to the moves he made, got the Avs to from the depths of a bottom dwelling team to a dominant champion. He definitely earned this honor.

That would be our most important move of the offseason. Glad they're getting close

Husso signed a 3 year deal with the Wings. Yuck.

-bring back Nichushkin
-bring back Lehkonen
-find a #6D (hopefully Manson)
-find a #2C (hopefully Kadri, JT Miller, or Evgeni Malkin)
-find a #4C (hopefully Darren Helm)
-find another winger (heard there's interest in Patrick Kane even those he's an asshat)

MacDonald figures to replace Ryan Murray/Jack Johnson as the primary extra D.

Still need that 6D.

Could be they try JJ again at the 6D and let Manson walk.

No way they can bring back Kadri at this point. Lehkonen is going to cost 4-5M per but he's a RFA so he's not getting away.

By my count that leaves about 10M for a 2C, a 3W, and a 6D.
