The Avs aren't the only Colorado team left standing in the playoffs.
Tomorrow night at 7:30, the Mammoth take on their hated rivals in a single elimination playoff game. The winner moves onto the Western Final (a three game series), loser goes home. The game will be live on Altitude TV and ESPN+, and unlike the Nuggets/Rapids/Avalanche there is no blackout rule so you can watch on ESPN+ whether your cable provider has Altitude or not.
The teams had identical 10-8 records this regular season but Calgary had the tiebreaker and thus earned the home field.
The Mammoth have had some horrors against Calgary in the playoffs.
Calgary knocked the Mammoth out in: 2004, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019
The Mammoth knocked Calgary out in 2006, the only championship season in team history
Needless to say, we hate the Calgary Roughnecks.
Just like the Avs, the Mammoth made several big trades at the deadline this year trying to win now. Hopefully it pays off.
