Rough first game for Rodrigues taking two penalties and only one shot. Hopefully he bounces back tomorrow in Calgary.

Georgiev had pretty good positioning all night. On the 2 goals he gave up they were one timers but seemed like he was slow to react and move to the other side of the net.

On the first goal Cogliano fell down, which led O'Connor far out of position trying to compensate, and they were already on the penalty kill. Georgiev expected help that never came.

I also think their dman screened him pretty well. Didn't seem like he saw the puck movement at all.

I was surprised MacDermid got the start on the 4th line instead of Blidh last night, but he ended up with 9 hits in the stat sheet and 0 penalties in 10 minutes of time on ice. We'll take that all day, every day.

I didn’t stay up for the game last night even though it was actually it was on TNT. Been a little under the weather but saw some of the first.

I think my coolest takeaway though on the stat line this morning is that Cogliano and Nicushkin paid immediate dividends that we prioritized them for extension.
