Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

2022-2023 Colorado Avalanche Season -- DEFEND THE CUP
Man everyone keeps bashing Sakic on Twitter for choosing to keep Val over Kadri. I mean I was a little surprised at the time that he prioritized Val first but it wasn’t that surprising. Val was every bit a part of the reason we won a year ago as Kadri was. Not as fast but he scored a ton of goals on that postseason run. And we couldn’t keep both. Just unlucky what happened in the last week.
It just goes to show that no matter how good you are, playoff games and series are decided on what happens at key moments. A league format becomes a cup format and evens up the quality disparity between teams. Also, the loss of players for whatever reasons matters a whole lot more in the playoffs than in a long regular season.
It's not just the Avs that unexpectedly went out in the first round, so did the Bruins. It happens. At least we win thd Stanley Cup last year.

Right. I’m usually way more upset after a game 7 upset. I’m still sad today because I don’t get to see them much all year until postseason. But considering all the player losses and a cup 10 months ago it just doesn’t sting as much for me this year.

Can't believe how many guys weren't able to play for one reason or another (e.g., injury, suspension, AWOL, etc.) and they still kept it up as long as they could.

So Landeskog is out for all of next season now, he's having a knee cartilage transplant tomorrow. That sucks. His 7 mil against the cap will be available. Maybe we can bring ROR back?
Also, with all the weird stuff going on with Nichushkin I'm getting my hopes up for a Val for Kadri trade once he comes back to the team lol.

as much as it sucks losing landy yet again, glad we know now rather than mid season or playoffs etc.. least can use LTIR and get someone to try and fill his position on the ice. What sucks the most is landy was/is great leader and the team is much different without him

Yeah we can't really replace his leadership or toughness when he's out there. He set great screens in front of the goalie and seemed like we always scored more with him on the ice.

there is not one team left that i would like to see win the cup, such a weird year.
I mean at this point I’m rooting for the East period. I don’t typically ever pull for Carolina or Florida but lesser of evils compared to Stars or Knights.
