Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

they were all ripping on Flyboys, but I didn't mind Flyboys. I thought it was entertaining. I didn't watch it for history. I just watched it for cool air combat stuff.....which it had, however this movie looks like it has a ton more.
This one looks like it should be pretty awesome.

I used to love WWI aeronautics. I did my history internal assessment on the development of those planes and dirigibles and how they effected the future of aeronautics.
That, and I built the Fokker (dr-I?) tri-plane out of legos!

I made one out of balsa wood and tissue paper when I was a kid. It came in a kit.
As for the movie it comes out fall some time this year. Its a german movie, so maybe they will do it right. If it was a British film, I have a feeling they would make look like a godless war monger.
Flyboys was an OK-ish movie for the sake of action. But I don't recall many Fokkers being able to make such tight left hand turns. Infact most airplanes in WWI had an easier time turn 270 degrees to the right than 90 to the left.
By the way cinny if you really like WWI AC come join us here

I can give you the names of 2 good movies that are also WWI related. I can't remember off the top of my head, I have to wait till I get home. (I am at school right now, also on break) One was made in the 60s another the 70s
I have not took a look yet but I hope they use sub-titles and do not screw this up. That way it brings out the realatiy of the picture. It looks good though.
Also hurts that despite being interesting, a movie from the Nazi side of WWII is a tough thing to do.
Well Stalingrad and Das boot were done great, 2 of the best WWII movies ever made. I would rather see a movie on Nazi side of WWII done correctly than see a movie of Pearl Harbor's calabur.
If anyone has not seen either movie here are 2 clips, well worth your time and money

That looks pretty amazing! First decent one in 30 years? I thought Flyboys wasn't too bad for a smi-war movie.
Flyboys was a "OKish" popcorn and coke movie. When it comes to historical movies (Civil war, WWI, WWII) I can be a jackass about pointing out all the inaccuracies of a movie.
There were several tanks seen on the ground on a German evasion. The first German tanks saw action on 21st March 1918 after the time period of the movie.
The planes in the movie had stationary engines.
Nieuport 17 and the Fokker DrI triplane were equipped with rotary engines.
The real German airship L 32 was shot down on a naval mission in early 1916, not shot down on a bombing mission to Paris as shown in the movie.
The American piolet with the hook states that the Fokker Dr.I has a 135 hp engine. It had a 110 hp engine.
Fokker DR-1 triplanes were never used in the great quantities that they depicted in the film.
the all-red paint scheme was only used on Manfred von Richtofen's fokker Dr.I
The film takes place in late 1916 and early 1917. The Fokker Dr.I triplane didn't appear until September 1917. the Bristol Fighter and SE5a were not available till after the time period depicted in the movie. Also, the paint schemes shown on the Dr.I triplanes were incorrect. The crosses were not painted on the upper surfaces of the lower wing.
Thus my fiance no longer watches any of those kinds of movies with me. She yells at me "can you just watch the damn movie"
