  • Anyone else hopelessly addicted to Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion?

I knew I shouldn't have touched the game when my roommate brought it home one day...but after about 2 weeks watching him I caved in. A month later, I have logged 75 hours (that's almost 3 hours a day )

But enough about me. Anyone else play this game?

I was at about 55 when I got it a year ago. There's no better airport game than that one
Rest in Peace, Darrent and Damien. You will be forever in our thoughts

Yea, I was addicted to it the moment I got it.

I still love it, but there is nothing more I can do in it.

Sounds like me. I am the leader of all the guilds, beat the quest, and am now just making goofy spells. I'm might try becoming a vampire to see what thats like.

Being a vampire is okay. You just have to drain the blood of someone as they sleep, or else there are consequences. The vampire in the Dark Brotherhood will explain it all to ya.

Curing vampirism is pretty fun, outside of the treasure hunt for common ingredients. When you get your reward, repeat the dialogue with the person (I won't say who ) and there should be a glitch to get as much money as you want.

Crap. He was the easiest way to become one.

Oh yea, and there might even be factions in the vampire world. I dunno though.

Dude.. I've put about 240 hours into the game... I can't do anything in it anymore though haha. So I passed it on to a friend and now he's totally obsessed with it.

Haha yes! What level are you up to? After 80 hours, I am level 32!

Where do find the best place to find random good loot (armor, swords, etc.)?

I found that they were on the last enemies in an oblivion gate before you close the gate....but now they are not giving me anything good.

Nearly every single piece of treasure is leveled and random in Elder Scrolls, which is a nice contrast to Morrowind when I could go to a specific dungeon at the beginning of the game and get the best armor and some arrows that hurt 5000 (yes, 5000).

My favorite sword would have to be Dawnfang/Duskfang from the Shivering Isles expansion. It is powerful, looks nice, and can get stronger depending on how many enemies you kill (it also helps that my game glitched and I got two of them ). Either that or some I make myself.

Shivering Isles is definately my favorite place for loot. There are some funny items, such as the Soul Tomato (a tomato that acts like a soul gem) or the fork of horripulation (a fork that acts as a sword), and there are some cool things like the sword.

It is like playing the main quest all over again. The landscapes are unique and beautiful, new enemies, new items, and new awesomeness. You will love it.

I went to Best Buy today, they didn't have it. I went to Circuit City, They didn't have it. I went to Walmart, they didn't have it. I checked online to see what retail stores have it, and the only place I could find that had the Playstation 3 version was flippin' Amazon.com.

So now I have to wait until Thursday now.
