Led Zeppelin Concert

I saw on the news this morning the concert they put on in London yesterday. They did not have sound on this report but plenty of pictures of the band.

Jason did play drums and he looks so young compared to the other guys. Robert Plant looked like he was about 80 years old. Jimmy Page didn't look too young either.

So does this mean they will tour?

I don't think so. I'm a big Zep fan and would love to see them, but I don't think Plant's voice is up to it. Like you said, look at him. Time has taken it's toll on him. I can't see him able to do a tour.

Jason is a very Technical drummer.

I didn't get to check this out last night. Wish I had.

I guess they've run out of money?

I have seen some of their clips on youtube and other things and they sounded great! I do think they will tour or they would not have put so much effort into sounding as good as they did. It would probably a summer only in stadiums kind of thing. I am so glad we have a big time stadium here in town...here's hoping this will happen.

I heard they are thinking about touring, not for sure yet.

Jason Bonham plays just like his dad, I saw him in concert a few years ago with Foriegner, I got to meet him afterwards, what a nice guy.

In the recent Rolling Stone interview, Plant said he already has all of next year booked solid, with a tour with Bluegrass chick Allison Krauss, and a new album, but I think it is a matter of time.

As far as his voice goes, all the reviews are he has not lost anything.

Jason plays in Foreigner, they said he knows Zepplins older material SO WELL, he was correcting the other guys when they were rehearsing earlier.

What a strange choice. Two entirely different music styles.

I didn't know Jason played with Foreigner. Interesting.

Even John Paul Jones played Mandolin on some Bluegrass bands album. They have always been unique like that, they even played COUNTRY, remember Hot Dog? on In Through the Out Door. And they always have been infatuated with Eastern music, it seems.

I did not know that about John Paul

And although I liked LZ's music, comparing them or even thinking about them playing a "country" song would send many hard core classic rock fans into a seizure.

In Through The Out Door was a big fav of mine I personally don't make the connection.

The XM80's DJ was talking about this again today and how they are using their "best rock band of all time" in some opinions, as a way to spark this tour's interest as if that is necessary.

Country music obviously uses some old rock rythyms and styles on occasion and rock does the same thing in reverse.

Some argue the point about how the two music styles crossed the line in the 90's but your point shows that it may have begun a lot sooner.

Well country rock has always been around with the Eagles, Poco and others, but lisen to a lot of NEW country, it is rock. Big & Rich.
