      Lenny Kravitz needs to be on the list. Amazing songwriter and versitile musician.

      Lyle Lovett as a songwriter.

      Mark Knopfler is an all-time great songwriter & can play guitar in so many ways it is amazing.

                                I haven"t seen Prince on here yet. Awesome songwriting. And if you've ever seen him live you know what a great guitar player he is.
