  • Favorite Movie Soundtrack Theme?

It seems that every movie has that one song that plays over and over throughout the movie.

Some can be intense, sad, or motivational.

I recently just watched one of my all time favorite movies "October Sky", and when I heard the main theme, I just had to find it online and download it.

If you've never heard of it, here it is:

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

It's a very beautiful piece of music made by Mark Isham. Listening to it, brought me back to my final concert in band as we seniors *including the string players* played this song as our "senior sendoff".

Being a percussionist, I got the joy to stand in back of the band and take in the moment while playing nothing.

Sappy I know... but it was amazing.

But what is your favorite movie soundtrack theme/song?

Hell it doesn't even have to be a movie... TV show, commercial song, etc.

Hope to see some good theme songs!

      Star Wars, yes.

Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, and I really like the new Batman score after seeing Batman Begins and TDK.

Just talking songs with singing, not orchestral soundtracks...

                            60s: The Graduate

                            70s: Grease

                            80s: Xanadu

                            90s: Pulp Fiction

2000s: Donnie Darko (pretty much just because of "Mad World" played at the very end; poignant moment)
"You can't take the sky from me..."
                            ------
"You can't shake the Devil's hand and say you're only kidding"
