New Joker?

I've heard a rumor that they are seriously thinking of having Depp take over the roll. If you all rember I call that one on opening weekend.

For some reason I can't get the image of a Captain Jack Sparrow with the Joker make up on.

No one will do as good as Ledger, but Depp may be a good choice.

I think for the third Batman, The Joker is just going to have a cameo anyway.

they've a bit of a decision to make.

all the talk about Depp sure does make it all the more possible he'll be in the third installment.

BUT...

he's also being rumored as being considered for The Riddler...

so, who do we want him as more? and who can play the role he doesn't take on depending on who he chooses?

i know that i want The Joker to return...i've a couple of choices...but my first choice, Daniel-Day Lewis is a bit too old for this universe's Joker. I suppose they could just fix that with make-up, since Ledger looked nothing like Ledger anyway...

But knowing that Lewis wouldn't do it anyway....The Joker is the only role he could be, because we can't have him upstage The Joker by playing someone else and blowing them away with a performance.

In the third movie the Joker imo isn't going play a big role (and shouldn't imo) so having Depp play that character for me wouldn't be as great as him playing a bigger role in the film.

I really like the idea of him playing the Riddler it would really bring a darker and more serious Riddler to the film (because imo the Jim Carey Riddler was horrid). Imagine Depp wearing that mask and the green suit with the bowler hat lurking in the shadow.

Now that you brought that up, I think I'd rather have him be The Riddler instead of The Joker.
