Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Anyone else see the commercials for this movie? It looks sweet. Plus it has Mark Wahlberg so it defiantely has to be sweet. Its based on the video game
except i don't recall the video game having anything to do with supernatural stuff.
what's with the random thing with wings pulling someone out of a window?
Max Payne was on a revenge mission to find out who killed his family wasn't he? I thought that's all it was... and during that, he ends up in the crappy parts of town, in the heaviest drug dealing neighborhoods and mob controlled parts of town where he has to survive.
i don't remember it having any supernatural plot at all....
am i just forgetting? i remember the "Matrix" bullet-time was freakin sweet...
but i think Hollywood totally effed this movie...kinda like they raped the Resident Evil story line. WAY OFF...

the demons where in the game its his haloution nation part when they drug him up
that's different. and i don't recall any of that in the game, even when he was HALLUCINATING... he had tons of flashbacks about what happened to his family though.
also, regardless of HALLUCINATION, the trailers and the driving point of the film seem to be this huge battle between good and evil forces, and then they throw in demons and this whole supernatural aspect... which is so far from the original plot of the games' story line, I don't know how they can still call it Max Payne.
also, like i said, i could be mistaken, but by str8 and LT's reaction, it seems i'm not the only one alarmed at the huge difference between the two.
but the last time i played Max Payne was in high school... so... *shrugs*

Heck... I didn't even play the whole thing... quick rental... read about it...
But you don't go from 'Realistic crime drama' to 'Supernatural battle'.
*sigh*
I suppose something major could have happened at the end of the game that I had no clue about, which is why I was glad to see I wasn't the only shocked one.

exactly. i would've put it in the same category as like: Street Kings and Training Day or something like that.
It's a guy taking revenge for his family's death, basically. There wasn't anything supernatural about it...
heck, maybe it's closer to Punisher, because that's what he does... his family gets killed and he vowes revenge? hmmm...
but it wasn't no bloody Konstantine for sure
